Coca-Cola switched to the Hanzl eco hand towel system in their bottling plant in Edmonton. This led to a 75% reduction in hand towel usage – they now refill the dispensers once every 4 days instead of daily! As a result of this, they cut their ongoing costs by 35% on hand towels alone!
The switch to the Hanzl system not only improved operational efficiencies & cut costs, it had a huge impact on the plant’s environmental impact as well! As the rolls are made from 100% recycled cardboard, and aren’t chemically bleached in any way, the plant’s carbon footprint was massively reduced. On top of was, there was a reduction in waste to landfill brought about by reducing the volume of hand towels used.
