Centrica British Gas, Cardiff
Facilities Manager, said: “The number of collections throughout the day have reduced by 50% on the office floors (from 4 to 2) and the food waste and cup waste streams are now only emptied during the evenings. The collections in the refreshment rooms have been reduced from 4 to 3 during the day. The reduction in bin collections during the day has resulted in us being able to make better use of the day janitors’ time and has provided us with an additional 3 hours a day out of his previous schedule to enable other tasks.”
Senior Facilities Manager, said: “I just want to share some positive feedback with regards to our waste behaviours on site since we collaborated. Reviewing datasets since staff have returned to the office and our introduction of Unisan Waste Stations across all floors, our general waste has reduced by 52% which is a remarkable achievement! The ease of separation is certainly helping staff navigate the disposal of waste without contamination.
I’m looking forward to our reusable cup terminals that are soon to be delivered to site and they will help us reduce the use of single use coffee cups. When I reflect on our Journey from 2019 to where we are now, the full suite of products we have to achieve our zero waste to landfill ambitions has been supported by Unisan offering proven concepts and adapting them for the needs of NatWest Group.
Thanks as always!”

GKN & OCS, South
Account Manager, said: “Haven’t a bad word to say about the company as a whole or any individual who work there. Always helpful, professional and accommodating. There willingness to always go above and beyond is something that is ingrained into the whole team. Plastic saving to date has been fantastic. This is a great product provided by a great team/company. Stats speak for themselves I don’t know why anyone would not invest in this.”
The waste stations are in keeping with Microsoft and their ethos not only because they look great but because they have the Longopac solution – a sustainable appeal too! We’ve had some great feedback from the client and the building users about these. We have been able to find innovative products that have been turnaround quickly! Everyone has been a pleasure to deal with and I get the feeling that nothing is too much! It’s like you’ve been one step ahead in thinking about our needs! Thanks very much!
