What is GDPR and how will it affect me?

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and will come into force in May 2018.

Key Points:

  • It is an EU Directive, but regardless of Brexit and how we end up leaving the EU, the UK Government has stated they will implement the new law.
  • It’s core objective is to improve Data Security – of your customers, staff, suppliers and leads.   It really is raising the bar and businesses need to take notice.
  • The Directive covers all elements of Data Security from the security of your building right through to how you process personal information on a day-to-day basis.

Failure to adhere could equal a fine of £20m or 4% of your annual global turnover – whichever is the greater.

GDPR sets the bar for how we and our organisations look after the personal data of our customers, our staff and ourselves”

Now, Unisan UK can’t claim to be experts in Law, but we are experts in helping businesses make the right choice when it comes to waste management.

Confidential Waste Bins

If you haven’t got confidential waste bins that are lockable, then we urge you to consider buying some to protect your business from potential breach of GDPR.

We stock a range of office recycling bins, locakable recycling bins and confidential waste bins that would be more than suitable for the safe disposal of data considered in need of protection under GDPR.
